Backup Camera and Rearview Mirror Manufacturer Becomes a Member of the Governors Highway Safety Association

Queens, NY - September 27, 2012 – Rosco membership into the Governors Highway Safety Association (GHSA) was approved during the Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Maryland in late August. Rosco is a leading manufacturer of rearview mirrors, backup cameras and automotive event recorders offering a wide selection of products designed to improve the safety for drivers, passengers and pedestrians. The GHSA and the Maryland Highway Safety Office hosted approximately 450 of the nation's top highway safety, law enforcement and public health officials during the 2012 GHSA Annual Meeting.

“Becoming a member of the GHSA is another step in Rosco’s commitment to Highway Safety.”  said Dave McDonald, Rosco’s Director of Business Development and Technical Sales.

Rosco provides rearview mirrors, cross view mirrors and backup cameras to manufacturers in the school bus, transit and shuttle bus, motor coach, truck and van, recreational vehicle, specialty vehicle, military, and materials handling vehicle markets. The company is the largest supplier of mirror and backup camera systems to the North American school bus market and is a longtime advocate for highway safety and distracted driving prevention.

Rosco’s new Dual-Vision™ XC Automotive Event Recorder is now available with 160+ hours of continuous video recording capability and a smaller windshield footprint. With more emphasis on driver behavior and data collection, it has become increasingly important for companies and fleet managers to monitor their employees’ driving habits. The Dual-Vision™ XC has the capacity to correct unsafe driver behavior through its ability to continuously record video and provide instant driver feedback.

GHSA represents the state and territorial highway safety offices that implement programs to address behavioral highway safety issues including occupant protection, impaired driving, and speeding. The GHSA and its members provide leadership and advocacy for the states and territories to improve traffic safety, influence national policy, enhance program management and promote best practices.
