Rosco Presents the Bright-Vision Illumination Safety System at NAPT '07 Show

November 2007, Jamaica, New York – Rosco, the leading mirror supplier in the school bus industry, and camera system supplier to most medium and heavy duty truck and bus markets, presents the Bright-Vision illumination safety system to enhance views in mirrors and cameras during low light vehicle operations. School bus drivers have difficulty seeing alongside their buses in low-light situations. Children walking in the danger zone often cannot be seen in the rear view or cross view mirrors. Tragic, yet preventable, accidents occur when children are not visible to the driver in early morning, dusk, night, or poor weather conditions.

Bright-Vision is an LED lighting “system” solution designed specifically for school buses which illuminates danger zones around the bus such as the right side areas near the front and rear axles. The key to Bright-Vision is that the lighting solution is strategically placed to aid in mirror and camera views, yet is not present or distracting to drivers and boarding passengers through mirror reflections or line of site vision. Additionally, Bright-Vision’s unique micro-processor based controller automatically senses operational inputs in the bus loading and unloading process to determine the optimal time to activate and deactivate Bright-Vision. The LED light system is comprised of a tough PVC rope light in assorted lengths with matched lengths of heavy duty mounting track and hardware, all required connectors and wiring, and the controller. The controller can also activate strategically placed cameras (sold separately by Rosco) at critical intervals throughout the loading and unloading process. Bright-Vision is suitable for both OEM as well as aftermarket installations.
